How do you select all, cut, copy, paste, etc. on a Palm Pre Plus?

Using the shortcuts without going into the top menu… I see sites that say to press Control + A, etc. but it doesn’t seem to be working? Control is the small grey square in the bottom left corner, right? Are you supposed to hold them down at the same time?
I did search on Youtube… I just keep seeing demo videos of promoting the Palm Pre Plus and simple, introductory things like how to flick, not how to type on it.

There is a way. I remember seeing it on a youtube video. Search there.
