believe it or not i speak from exact experience
for us three cars were damaged on our property that were visitors
a brand new three week old Chevy pickup – made two payments – totaled
a one year old camaro – totaled
a four year old van conversion – repairable
total loss at that time 7 years ago was125,000.00 dollars just in three cars
the home was around 75,000.00 on its own
they called it a gust nado – we called it straight line winds – the roofs pealed, 200+ yr old oak trees toppled like toothpicks – lost 14 of them on in around the house and on in over the vehicles
our homeowners refused to pay for the autos – the guests car insurance was used for the damages – the homeowners said that is why they insure homes not cars = cars carry their own separate insurance
