Pipe Brass

Problems with the Ruger 10/22?
Has anyone had issues with their 10/22 stove-piping brass or not chambering a round properly?
Mine stovepipes or ruins a round after every 4 to 6th round in the 10 round rotary mags. I have a 25 rnd banana clip that works better but it still hangs up occasionally. Do i need a different spring for the bolt or is this just some factory defect. I was always under the assumption that Ruger made a high quality product and I lost a bit of faith with this rifle. BTW it does this will all brands of ammo so its not that.
this rifle is not new and i clean it every time i shoot. I bought it new and probably put around 2000rnds through it. I have had problems since day one. No I have not tried CCI ammo but a good variety of different brands.
I know how to clean my rifles….. Maybe I got a bad egg from the factory?
They are a great carbine. Fairly accurate, dependable etc. The number one reason they mess up, is lack of detail cleaning. not just a normal clean, but a strip it down thorough clean. if it does this with all mags, they are not the problem. Some ammo is low pressure etc and won’t cycle right. try american eagle ammo. if it does it with that, it is certainly the firearm needing attention and nothing else.
shoot safe
